New AFI Role For Alec Ullmer

Powered access equipment specialists AFI-Uplift have given Alec Ullmer the new role of developing AFI’s business with contractors working on two of Europe’s biggest projects – the Olympic Park and the Westfield Stratford City retail and leisure development.

Alec, who is AFI’s Southern Regional Sales Manager, has taken on the new role following the recent opening of AFI’s London City depot at Leyton, which is within just 1.7 miles of the Olympic Park.

He will be the principal AFI contact for both sites and will work closely with Major Projects Manager John Robertson to increase awareness amongst contractors of the machine hire, service and training facilities which AFI offer at the London City depot.

Alec has nearly 20 years’ experience in the powered access industry and has been with AFI for the past six years.

He said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role and being involved in these major projects. Health and safety is of paramount importance to contractors, and with our London City depot being so close to both projects and our capability to offer accredited training potentially on a 24 hour, seven day basis, we are ideally positioned to meet the needs of contractors.”
